The is a lot seating inside and outside here, and it’s right on the highway so easy to find. It’s an old building that has been turned into a cafe. There is lots of cabinet food and the range is wide. You can have freshly made pizza, pasta, salads, burgers, scones, cakes, slices or lots of breakfast goodies. You can have even go vegetarian or a hearty salad……and the coffee was GREAT!
The service was exceptionally friendly. What a lovely bunch of ladies that served us, real home-grown, small town hospitality.
Nothing too fancy with the presentation. The parsley was a nice touch.
- The Benedict – was pretty plain, but nice and hot.
- The Muffins – they were okay, hot and crunchy.
- The eggs – were good. Runny and Warm.
- The bacon – was okay, nothing stunning but still tasty.
- The Spinach – was soggy and overcooked.
- The hollandaise – homemade and tasty.
Would we go again?
We would, the food was good, the service was great.
Style: Classic 5/10.
Taste: 5/10. The meal was good, nothing special but hot and tasty.
Originality: 5/10 – It’s the pretty standard, and only bacon available (i.e. no Montreal)
Value: 7/10. I forgot to note down the prices, but I do remember thinking that they were about average.
Eggs: (how good they were): 5/10. The eggs were okay.
Overall score: 5/10
