The Place:
There is lots of choices in the cabinet or a varied menu. There is a great kid’s menu and they have stuff for the kid’s to do outside like the log walk and playhouses. You can sit inside or outside. The rural setting adds a quaint ambience. This is a regular spot for us as it’s very convenient and great food, hence why we come here.
The Service:
The service was pleasant and speedy.
The presentation:
The dish is simple but delicious. The sprinkle of cayenne pepper and parsley adds just enough colour to make the dish inviting.
- The Benedict – was good.
- The bacon – two large rashers of bacon, cooked just right.
- The spinach – was nice.
- The muffins – were cooked light and crispy.
- The eggs – were perfectly cooked.
- The hollandaise – was nice and just the right amount of it.
Would we go again?
Yes we would, and we do.
Scorecard:
Style: Classic 6/10
Taste: 7/10
Originality: 5/10 – They cater for the Benedict, Montreal or Florentine addicts here. They call the Montreal the ‘Atlanta’ here.
Value: 7/10 The Benedict is $15. The Montreal is $16. They don’t list the Florentine on the menu but I got a side of spinach for $4, so I’m pretty sure they could whip a Florentine together quite easily.
Eggs: (how good they were): 9/10. They were cooked to perfection.
Overall score: 7/10
