There is a really varied menu from wood fired pizza’s to a steak. There is plenty of seating inside or outside. The kid’s menu is really good, you can get macaroni cheese or eggs etc. There is activities such as puzzles or colouring in for the kids. The atmosphere is inviting and the decor is quite funky. It does seem like there are too many themes going on, but overall it is a pleasant place to dine. They also do cool stuff like Monday’s kids dine free.
The service was good and the staff seemed friendly. They ran out of coffee cups which seemed really odd because it wasn’t overly busy.
What can I say, this looked like it was out of a cooking show. The plate looked scrumptious. The food was layered to perfection and the little sprinkling of sprouts (or whatever it was) added a nice touch.
The Benedict and the Montreal – were delicious.
The bacon – was streaky, crunchy and delicious. It looked good and tasted good, perhaps slightly salty.
The Salmon – was the best I have ever tasted. This wasn’t just a strip of cold smoked salmon. Oh no, it was a chunk of salmon steak, smoked and cooked to perfection.
The eggs – were runny and warm.
The Hash browns – were home made, crunchy, flavoursome and a delight for the tastebuds.
The hollandaise – was home made and just fantastic.
Would we go again?
We simply loved the brunch and would highly recommend it. For dinner we thought it was less than average and really expensive.
