The Place:

You can sit inside or outside. Outside is great for the kids by the way.  This place even has toys to keep the little ones entertained.  They have a good range of cabinet food……and in winter there is a wood fire to keep you cosy while you dine.  The coffee was good.

The Service:

The service was quick and friendly.

The presentation:

The overall look and flavour was wonderful.

• The Benedict – good. was really great. Have been here a few times and they never fail to please.
• The Kumara Hash – was stunning!
• The eggs – perfectly good. Runny and warm.
• The bacon – was perfect.
• The hollandaise – it certainly looked and tasted homemade.

Would we go again?

Yes, we want to go back to try the ‘standard’ benes.

Scorecard:

Style: Classic 8/10. The hash added a different dimension to the meal.

Taste: 8/10. The taste was yummy.

Originality: 8/10 – You can order your standard dishes (bene, montreal etc) or substitute for the Kumara Hash as the base.

Value: 8/10. It’s pretty reasonable here. In fact it was so great we forgot to note down the prices.  Intersetingly, this one egg meal was plentiful and we walked away with full tummies.

Eggs: (how good they were): 8/10. They were runny and warm.

Overall score: 9/10
