The Place:

There is lots of choices in the cabinet or a varied blackboard menu.  There is a great kid’s menu and they have books for the kids to read.  The pancakes for our wee one came out ahead of our food which shows that they understand parents.  The coffee was great.  This is a funky place to eat.  You can dine inside or outside.  The music was just the right volume and there is heaps of cool art on the walls or magazines to read.

The Service:

The service was great.  The staff were super friendly and smiled a lot.

The presentation:

The dish looked inviting.  The touch of lettuce for the Montreal and parsley for the Benedict added a splash of colour to the dish.

• The Benedict and Montreal – were pretty amazing.
• The bacon – the streaky bacon was cooked to perfection.
• The salmon – was okay, nothing great though.
• The hash brown – was crunchy and warm.
• The eggs – were free-range, runny, warm and cooked to perfection.
• The Turkish bread – just perfect, only a tad of butter.
• The hollandaise – was home made, tasty and creamy.  We also liked the way it was in a little dish so you could spread it where you wanted it.

Would we go again?

Yes we would.  This was just a great experience, a tasty meal and funky atmosphere.

Style: Classic 6/10

Taste: 8/10

Originality: 5/10 – They cater for the Benedict, Montreal or Florentine addicts here.  Only little comment is that you can order the Montreal but it’s not on the menu.

Value: 8/10 The Florentine is $16.50. The Benedict and Montreal were $17.50 each.  Probably the cheapest Montreal I have seen that includes a hash brown.

Eggs: (how good they were): 9/10. They were free-range, tasty and just shy of a 10 out of 10.

Overall score: 8/10
